およそ3,000年以上前、イスラエル王国という国には12に枝分かれした部族が住んでいました。
About 3 millenniums ago, the 12 tribes were living in the Kingdom of Israel.
それが紀元前926年、同王国の南側で暮らしていた（今日のユダヤ人に当たる）2支族は北側の王国から独立したユダ王国を新たに建国しました。
In 926 BC, the southern part of the kingdom became the Kingdom of Juda, and the 2 tribes known as Jews today lived there.
そのおよそ200年後の紀元前722年、いろいろあって北側の王国が消滅した際、そこに暮らしていた10支族たちは契約の箱とともにどこかへいなくなってしまったらしいのです。
As the Kingdom of Israel perished in 722 BC, the 10 tribes living in the northern part of the kingdom disappeared with the Ark of the Covenant.
その10支族たちはどこへ行ったのか、契約の箱はどこにあるのか、未だ確証は無く、諸説あるのですが、ある説が中でも大変興味深く面白いので、今後ブログの内容として取り上げていこうと思っていますので、乞うご期待。
Where did these people go? Where is the Ark now? Yet some people have been dedicating themselves for decades or even centuries to answer these questions, they still haven’t got the answers.
