たとえば、「あうん」は「あ」という始まりの音（英語で”A”）と「ん」というで終わりの音（英語で”Z”）となる無声音までを繋げた、英語でいう”A to Z”（「最初から最後まで」即ち「森羅万象」、「全真理」）を意味する本来「あうん」と発音すべきサンスクリット語の「オウム」や「まったくその通り」を意味する古代ヘブライ語の「アーメン」と同じだとか。
