約16,500年前の縄文土器が発見されていることから、遅くともその頃には縄文時代（日本人が縄目の文様をつけた土器を作り、使っていた時代）が始まっていたと考えられます。
Since the earth ware made about 16,500 years ago has been discovered, Jomon Era (the times when Japanese people were making and using the earth ware which was patterned with ropes) must have started by then at the latest.
氣候がまだとても温暖で快適であった7,500年前頃には既に米や他の作物を作っていたことを示す科学的痕跡が発見されており、その頃には既に日本には農耕の知識や技術があったことがわかっています。
Discovering the scientific evidence indicating that they had been farming rice and other crops no later than 7,500 years ago when the climate was still very warm and nice, they had the knowledge and skills of agriculture already at the time.
特にその頃までの日本はまるで旧約聖書のエデン園のような環境で、人々は美味しいクッキーを焼いて舌鼓を打っていたようです。
Japan’s environment was like the Garden of Eden especially until around that time of Jomon Era, and people were even baking and eating tasty cookies.
