厩戸皇子（後の「聖徳太子」）も蘇我氏と物部氏の戦いには14歳のときに加わっており、蘇我氏とともに戦っていました。
Prince Umayado (later called, “Shotoku Taishi”) who was 14 years old at the time had fought together with Soga Clan to defeat Mononobe Clan.
「厩戸」とは馬宿のことであることから、厩戸皇子という名はまるで馬宿で生まれた（イスラエルの）王子たるイエスキリストのような奇跡の力を持つように願いを込めてつけられたかのようです。
Since “Umayado” means a stable, he was named as if someone wished him to have the miraculous power that Jesus Christ, a prince (of Israel) who was born in a stable had.
厩戸皇子の母親が景教徒であったという話もあり、それでかように名付けられたのかもしれません。
His mother was said to be a fundamental Christian, so it could have been why he was named as such.
蘇我氏の長の蘇我馬子は大臣となり、娘を欽明天皇と政略結婚させることで蘇我氏の政治力をさらに強めていきました。
The head of Soga Clan, Umako Soga became a minister and got his daughter married with Kinmei Emperor to strengthen his political power even more.
欽明天皇の皇女であられた推古天皇は592年に皇位を継がれると、その翌年には厩戸皇子を摂政に任命されます。
In 592, Kinmei Emperor’s daughter, Suiko Empress came to the throne and appointed Prince Umayado the regent in the following year.
