Although Hisahide Matsunaga temporarily had the actual control of Bakufu, Miyoshi Clan regained the power back from him.
三好氏は幕府の実権を握っておくため、1568年に足利義栄を14代将軍に据えました。
To keep the actual control of Bakufu, Miyoshi Clan enthroned Yoshihide Ashikaga as the 14th Shogun in 1568.
しかし、すぐに織田信長が足利義輝の弟の足利義昭を幕府に送り、15代将軍に据えさせました。
However, shortly afterwards, Nobunaga Oda sent Yoshiaki Ashikaga, Yoshiteru Ashikaga’s brother to Bakufu, and he made them enthrone him as the 15th Shogun.
足利義昭は聡明で有能な兄のように幕府の再建に尽力しました。
Yoshiaki devoted himself to reconstruct Bakufu like his bright and competent brother had tried to do.
その後、やることなすことに口を出す織田信長に辟易した足利義昭は数名の有力な戦国大名とともに織田信長を討伐することにしました。
Later, being fed up with Nobunaga Oda restricting all his actions, he attempted to subjugate him together with some powerful Warwring States feudal lords.
ところが、足利義昭は返り討ちに遭い、1573年に降伏し、室町幕府は遂に滅びてしまいました。
However, as he failed his attempt and surrendered in 1573, Muromachi Bakufu finally perished.
