「般若」は俗語化したサンスクリットで「悟りに至るための智慧」、「心経」は「最も重要なお経」を意味します。
In slangy Sanskrit, “Panna” means, “the knowledge needed to realize the whole truth of this world”, and “Heart Sutra” means, “the most important sutra”.
たしかに、悟りは理屈を教えられて開けるようなものではなく、自分自身の体感を通さなければなりません。
It’s true that one can’t be told by reason to realize the whole truth of this world but by seeing it for oneself.
それでもなお、正しく広くこの非常に完成度の高いお経に書かれている内容が伝えられていないというのは人類の損失に他なりません。
Nevertheless, humankind is worse off not accurately and popularly appreciating the excellence of what’s written in Panna Heart Sutra.
また、お経は祝詞のような真言ではなく、教えが書かれた文書であるため、何が書かれているか正確に理解する必要があります。
Also, since sutras aren’t like mantras like Shinto ritual prayers but documents to give religious knowledge, one has to correctly understand what are written in them.
そこで、般若心経に書かれている内容について今後数回に分けて書かせてください。
