さらに、皇太子までも突然謎の病に伏され、そのまま危篤状態となってしまいました。

桓武天皇は、早良親王の御魂を速やかに讃えるだけでなく、呪われている長岡京も棄てない限り、さらなる大惨事が降りかかるという神託を受けました。

そして、この通りにすると、忽ちすべての災いは収まりました。

こうして794年に遷都したのがその後千年以上も都として栄える京都府の平安京であり、平安時代が幕を開けました。
In 794, the capital was transferred to Heian Capital in Kyoto Prefecture, the capital having prospered over a millennium, and Heian Era started.
