平安京が琵琶湖をいう日本一大きな湖の南西に位置しておるのと同じように、エルサレムもガリラヤ湖（キネレット湖）というイスラエル一大きな湖の南西に位置しています。
Like Heian Kyo is located in the southwest of Lake Biwa, the biggest lake in Japan, Jerusalem is located in the southwest of Lake Kinneret, the biggest lake in Israel.
「琵琶」は日本の伝統的な琴であり、「キネレット」もまたイスラエルの伝統的な琴です。
Whereas “Biwa” is a Japanese traditional harp, “Kinneret” is also an Israeli traditional harp.
そんな今日では「京都」として世界的有名な平安京ですが、「祇園」（古代ヘブライ語で「シオン」と聞こえなくもない。）という名でも呼ばれています。
Heian Kyo (globally well known as “Kyoto” today) has also been called, “Gion” which sounds like “Zion” in ancient Hebrew.
京都の八坂神社では869年から毎年7月に祇園祭を行なっています。
Since 869, Yasaka Shrine in Kyoto has been holding Gion Festival every July.
この祭りがクライマックスを迎えるのは7月17日即ちノアの箱舟がアララト山に漂着した日となっています。
The climax of the event comes on July 17th that is the day Noah’s Ark was washed up on Mt. Ararat.
