聖徳太子は以下の2つの歴史的出来事について予言されていたそうです。
Shotokutaishi has prophesized about the 2 historical events below.
「私の死後200以内に天皇は嘗てないほど偉大な都を築かれるであろう。その都は10回ほど戦場と化すことになるが、1,000年以上都として繁栄することになるであろう。」
“Within 2 centuries after my death, the Emperor will build the greatest capital ever. Although it will turn into a battlefield about 10 times, it will be prosperous as a Japan’s capital for over a millennium.”
Shotokutaishi’s demise was in 622, and the capital was transferred in 794.
平安京は10回ほど戦場と化しましたが、1,075年間も嘗てない偉大な都としてその繁栄を誇りました。
Heian Kyo, the greatest capital ever built, had turned into a battlefield nearly 10 times but been prosperous as a Japan’s capital for 1,075 years.
また、「黒竜が姿を現したとき、都は東方へ移されるであろう。」とも書かれていたようです。
Also, Shotoku Taishi wrote, “Once the black dragons show up, the capital will move to East Japan.”
日本に対して条約調印交渉を強要するため、1853年に「黒船」（と日本人が呼ぶ）米国艦隊が東京湾に姿を現しました。
To insist signing on the treaty, the US fleet called (by Japanese people), “The Black Ships” showed up on Tokyo Bay in 1853.
この事件を機に重要な歴史的事象が度重なり起きていき、最終的には日本国の新たな体制なるものが作られることになりました。
This incident triggered many critical historical events and eventually created Japan’s new national order.
そんな重大な歴史的変化の中、黒船来航から16年後に東京奠都（実質的には遷都）となります。
During such major historical change, the capital was transferred to Tokyo 16 years after the Black Ships showed up.
